About Greg
Greg Maxfield is a native of Emery County, Utah, where the desert teaches patience and the land holds memory. A native of the American West, he spent three decades in the energy industry before turning full-time to writing.
He studied the history and geography of the American Southwest, has volunteered with Native American elders, and believes that place leaves something permanent in us — a mark we carry long after we've left. He lives in the Pacific Northwest and writes about the landscapes that shaped him.
His work explores the intersections of family obligation, cultural memory, and moral reckoning in places where history isn't past — it's the ground you're standing on. His debut novel, The Lund Covenant, arrives in July 2026.
Elsewhere
Greg runs Operation Granny Files, a family history project that turns genealogy into story, and builds productivity tools at Conduital. He serializes The Lund Covenant chapter by chapter on The Unfolding Plot.
